Rally
New England Forest Rally is no more. The Errol Northwoods Rally will hopefully replace it some year. For now there is STPR, headquartered in Wellsboro, PA and Gravel Trial events at the Team O'Neil Driving School in Dalton, NH for events in the northeast that need ham radio and other volunteers. Click here for the Gravel Trial event dates and links to volunteer at the bottom of the pages for each event. Click here for ARA events in North America Climb to the Clouds Not rally, but I'll probably volunteer for at least one of the Iron Man events
Ham Radio
QRZ.com practice tests. Set up a free account, go to "resources", then to "practice tests. Do the technician questions first, then the general. If pass both at once, you will save $35 .Start with 5 minutes a day until you are getting 90s. Then add 5 minutes a day until you are getting 90s each time. When you are up to an hour or so a day, getting 90s, you will probably pass the exam. It is 35 questions out of a 350 question pool. You can get 8 wrong. Find an exam session here.
